Amazing Grace Teaching Series
Beginning September 12th, 2010
In this series Pastor Rich teaches on grace, the heart of our faith and our relationship with God. He begins by defining it, and in the following weeks, looks into the many facets of grace. He teaches on how God helps us start over, how he sustains us with the power to keep on going, and how God uses miracles in our lives. He looks at how to break free from perfectionism, how God restores Christians who have fallen away from the faith, and the wonderful message of forgiveness entitled Offering Grace.

August 29/30: “Why I Trust” What trust really is–and isn’t
Join us for a worship service August 29/30, 2010, as Pastor Rich talks to us about what trust is and isn’t. We all know people who declare, “I won’t believe something until I see it for myself!” But is real trust based simply on what we can see, feel, touch, taste or smell? In this message, Pastor Rich asks the question that is essential to the Christian faith. And as he unpacks the answers, we have the opportunity to see what trust really is–and isn’t.
MATCH: Unconditional Love [Schedule Change]
Thursday, September 2nd at 10:00am and 6:30pm
Mothers Actively Teaching Character in the Home is a small group for moms to discuss a specific character trait to focus on at home in the coming month. Moms share a devotion and a time for reflection. During the last half of the meeting, Moms complete a keepsake project which will be used as a tool to start a new family tradition reinforcing the trait of the month. This month’s topic is unconditional love. For more information, contact tama@aboitechurch.org
Volunteer Spotlight: Altar Guild
We participate in communion each week. It takes a dedicated team of volunteers to prepare the elements for each service. Volunteers fill the cups, place the wafers, and prepare the altar before Sunday services and other volunteers clean up after services. There are several opportunities to get involved in this rewarding ministry. The time commitment is less than 2 hours per month, making it a great “first serve” opportunity if you have yet to volunteer at Aboite. For more information, contact tama@aboitechurch.org
