In the 17th chapter of Acts, the evangelist Luke tells us:
Now the Bereans were of more noble character than the Thessalonians, for they received the message with great eagerness and examined the Scriptures every day to see if what Paul said was true. Many of the Jews believed, as did also a number of prominent Greek women and many Greek men” (Acts 17:11-12, NIV).
Refusing to accept the religious teachings of Paul without question, the Bereans subjected the apostle’s claims to critical inquiry and “examined the Scriptures” daily. Questions of the Christian Mind is a Small-Group Bible study series which continues in this investigative tradition. Complementing small-group dialogue with instructive leadership, this program is designed to guide believers through an exploration of the most challenging and perennial questions of the Christian life. Please join us Sunday mornings at 10am for these outstanding opportunities to grow in faith, knowledge and spiritual maturity as we undertake the Berean Search!
The class will also be held on Monday evenings at 6:00pm before the 7:00pm worship service.
