Successful Caregiver Kit Assembly Event

This past Wednesday evening, approximately 35 volunteers gathered to assemble 50 World Vision Caregiver Kits. Materials to assemble the kits were purchased through generous donations by Aboite members. The kits contain basic supplies like washcloths, latex gloves, and cotton balls which allow local caregivers in Africa to minister to people living with AIDS and help prevent the spread of infection. Volunteers packed containers with the supplies, and also a handwritten note that will be translated into the local language to encourage the caregivers. World Vision says the encouraging note is arguably the most important part of the kit, as the caregivers collect them over time and even pray for the volunteers who assembled the kits. Be on the lookout for more opportunites to get involved as Aboite serves the community, both locally and abroad. For more information, contact tama@aboitechurch.org
