We Celebrate The Life of Jack Kast

John B. “Jack” Kast, 94, passed away Monday, October 21, 2013 at Covington Commons Senior Living   in Fort Wayne. Born in Garrett, IN, John was a WWII Air Force Veteran. Jack was the owner of City Carpet for 50 years. He was a member of Aboite Lutheran Church, Elks #155 and the American Legion   in   North Webster. Jack enjoyed golfing, fishing, bowling, and spending time with his family. Surviving are  his  wife Betty  Kast  of Fort Wayne; daughters Darinda  (Robert)  Shroyer  of Peoria,   IL,  Jacque   (Bruce) Rowley of Fort Wayne; step­son Steven Esterline of Bradenton, FL; brother Michael  Kast of  Fort Wayne; seven grandchildren, and seven great-grandchildren. Service is 10:00 am, Friday, October 25, 2013 at D.O.  McComb and Sons Covington Knolls Funeral Home, 8325 Covington Road with calling one hour prior, Pastor Richard Pagan officiating. Calling at the funeral home Thursday, October 24, 2013 2:00 pm – 4:00 pm & 6:00 pm – 8:00 pm. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Heartland Hospice.
