Nursery Care

Open to children through age five, our nursery is professionally staffed at all three services with kind, friendly, and compassionate caregivers. We offer a safe, secure, and loving environment for your child while you are attending the worship service. Children participate in a bible lesson, complete a craft or coloring page, have a snack, and free play. Our staff and volunteers are screened with a national background check and are CPR and First Aid certified.  Please contact Danette Stewart, Nursery Director, at Danette@aboitechurch.org

Children’s Church

We offer a full hour of children’s church during our Worship Service 8:30 a.m. and 11 a.m. on Sunday and Monday nights at 7 p.m.. Please drop your child off in the children’s room before church and pick them up after church and pick them up after church. We will have age appropriate lessons in the children’s area of the church doing fun activities that build on our children’s church lessons. Teens are welcome to be Jr. group leaders! The children love to hang out with them!

Aboite Lutheran Church partners with several churches to minister and assist a program called Hope for the Destitute to help orphans and widows in Kenya.

Hope for the Destitute is a nonprofit organization in Kisumu, Kenya that provides educational support for orphaned children and shelter for needy widows. Many children are orphaned as a results of the high prevalence of HIV and AIDS in this country, and are left in the care of  elderly relatives who have no source of income. Education is not free in Kenya, and many students are unable to access it, leading to unemployment and a continual chain of poverty within their families. Hope for the Destitute ensures that orphaned children can access education as well as be nurtured spiritually in Lutheran teachings and devotions.  We welcome you to be part of the Lord’s work through monthly or yearly donations.
