We’re so glad you’re here! We’d love for you to join us in worship at 8:30 am or 11:00 am on Sunday mornings.
We’re right across the street from the Jorgensen YMCA.
We don’t want anything to stand between you and visiting us at Aboite, so we’ve compiled some common questions that guests have about our worship services.
How long are your services?
We usually keep them to around one hour and ten minutes.
What are your services like?
Our worship services flow from Christianity’s rich heritage and incorporate elements from ancient times to the present, including:
- Messages that are highly engaging while maintaining a firm grounding in God’s Word
- A mixture of traditional hymns and modern worship songs
- Both universal and Lutheran-specific liturgies
Should I take communion?

What should I wear?
Dress is casual. Wear what you are comfortable in.
Is there anything for the kids?
We have an awesome children’s ministry at Aboite! Kids K-5th grade are encouraged to go to Kids Konnection, which meets at 10:00 am during Christian Education Hour.
It is a fun, interactive, small-group approach to Sunday school. Kids are divided into three classrooms: K-1st, 2nd-3rd, 4th-5th (clearly marked in the educational wing).
One of our greeters would be happy to show you where to check your kids in! Nursery care (infant through 4 years) and Children’s Church (5 years through 5th grade) are available during all our services.
Your little ones will do some fun crafts and hear Bible stories from our experienced ministry staff.
Will I be able to find a place to park?
Yes! We have two large parking lots, one to the south (facing Aboite Center Road) and one to the West (facing Westlakes Drive), each with an entrance from the adjacent street.
Will I stick out as a visitor?
Absolutely not! We have lots of visitors at Aboite. Our greeters are here to make sure you find everything you need to be comfortable during your first experience with us. Be sure to stop by the Welcome Center if you have any questions, and to receive your gift from us!
Where are you located?
We are located on Aboite Center Road about two miles west of West Jefferson Blvd and one-quarter mile east of Homestead Road. Find us directly across from the Jorgensen Family YMCA.
