Volunteer Spotlight: Video Presentation
Pastor uses lots of media in his presentations. Aboite is very blessed to have industry standard equipment to help us spread the Word, and a dedicated team of volunteers to make it all happen! Video volunteers come before the worship service to coordinate with Pastor and the worship leader, run the equipment during the worship service, and shut it all down after the service. We are grateful to these volunteers for their faithful service. There are several opportunities to get involved in this valuable ministry, especially for Monday evening worship services. The time commitment is approximately 3 hours, once or twice per month. If you are interested, we prefer that new volunteers have a basic knowledge of PowerPoint and be middle school age or older. Magazine Ministry Still Going Strong
Aboite has facilitated a ministry to the patients at Lutheran Hospital for many years. Karen Rydman and her dedicated volunteers process donations of used magazines and then distribute them to the patients. Donate your used magazines, less than one year old, in the vestibule at the west entrance. No catalogs please. There are several opportunities to serve in this ministry, with the recent opening of the fifth floor at the hospital. Radical Truth Message Series
Outlandish. Extraordinary. Astonishing. Outrageous. Often when Jesus speak, he says something that leaves us muttering, “That’s so radical.” Lose your life to save it. The first will be last. The meek will inherit the earth. Rejoice in persecution. Pray for your enemies. It’s better to give than receive. Turn the other cheek. Humble yourself to be exalted. Incredible! God has made some claims about you – radical claims. Over the next few weeks, if you will hear them with fresh ears and a willing heart, they will transform your attitudes, your outlook, your values – and your life.
Come Back to Church in 2012
In the first few days of the New Year many of us are struggling with beginning resolutions to improve our lives. For many this involves losing weight, getting in better physical shape and for some it involves straightening out their financial lives. No matter what your particular situation, deciding to go back to Church, or beginning to go to Church regularly for the first time in your life, would be the most important and rewarding resolution for yourself and your family. Successful Christmas Worship Services

Prayers of the Congregation
We pray for: A sister with a drug addiction, and for a brother to return to college and stop using tobacco; Safe travel for a sister; A marriage; Good test results for Katina; Parents and wife’s health; Patience & safety for our troops including nephew Joe; Step daughter and son to find faith, and 2 grandsons to find direction for their lives; Sarah as she undergoes a very difficult loss at work and begins a search for new employment; A grandmother diagnosed with terminal cancer, we pray for a painless & peaceful last few weeks; Jack & Betty Kast, Danielle, Pam’s brother in law, and sister; Healing of a relationship, bring forgiveness and peace to a brother and son; Comfort for a mother who is alone during the holidays; Peace for a family who lost a father/grandfather at Christmas; Paul who lost his mother; Safe travel for family members traveling to Florida; The lonely and the destitute that they find comfort in the Lord, that we understand the enormity of God coming to earth thru Jesus as a human to live w/us, die and save us.; A job for those searching, maturity, selflessness throughout the year and willingness to be peaceful and content.; A daughter and son to intensely return to God and bring others with them; An out of town church during vacation; Families struggling with the loss of loved ones, divorce, and substance abuse

Christmas Eve Services
Join us for Christmas Eve worship at 5:00pm and 7:00pm on Saturday, December 24, 2011. Christmas falls on a Sunday this year, so one worship service will be held on December 25th, 2011 at 10:00am. All three services will feature the same message, so choose the time that fits your family traditions! There will not be a Monday evening service held on December 26th, so join us at one of the three services.
