Volunteer Ministry Spotlight: Worship Band
Aboite’s worship band is one of the key elements of who we are. The band consists of a dozen or so dedicated individuals, who give of their time and talents on a weekly basis. These individuals practice together during the week, show up early and stay late for every service. Please take the time to meet the band before or after a worship service, and thank them for their service to our congregation. If you would like to get involved with the band contact dave@aboitechurch.org. Dave would love to get to know you and get you involved in this exciting ministry.

Classes will meet August 15/16, 22/23, and 29/30 before taking a two-week break for the new series. Join us for The Truth Project, Sundays at 10:00am and Mondays at 6:00pm.
Middle School Students Serve at Aboite
The 4twelve middle school youth group served here at the church last Sunday afternoon. They worked in conjunction with a member to trim the front landscaping, wash the playground equipment, and spread sand on the beach. This is the first of several service projects 4twelve has planned. If you would like to find out more about or get involved with 4twelve middle school youth group, contact samantha@aboitechurch.org
High School Students Serve at In As Much
Several high school students have been volunteering on a weekly basis with In As Much, a ministry of Broadway Christian Church. Pastor Alyn Biddle has served the poor and downtrodden in Fort Wayne for more than 22 years from his office at Broadway Christian Church. More than 6,500 people seek assistance from In As Much each year. The students assist other workers when interviewing potential clients to assess need, organize clothing donations, and will take part in organization of the food pantry. If you have any donations of clothing, or would like to get involved, please contact jason@aboitechurch.org
Pastor’s Small Group Serves Love Church
At their small group meeting this past week, the members of Pastor’s small group served the children of Love Church by preparing 30 sack lunches. The lunches are part of a ministry in which Love Church ministers to underprivileged children in Fort Wayne by providing them with lunch on Saturdays.

August 8/9: “Why I Give” The Blessings of Giving
Join us for a worship service August 8/9, 2010, as Pastor Rich talks to us about the blessings of giving. In this message, Pastor Rich asks and answers a very personal and powerful “Why I” question. And through the answers, we see that giving is not something we do for others or even for ourselves. It’s all about an audience of one.
